Energy Minister Tim Hodgson Reacts to Steven Guilbeault’s Resignation

Steven Guilbeault, a former environment minister in the Trudeau government resigned his position as heritage minister today and quit the Carney cabinet. In his resignation letter he outlines his opposition to the MOU signed today between Ottawa and Alberta that could see the construction of one or more new oil pipelines. Tim Hodgson, Minister for Energy and Natural Resources, expresses his sadness towards Guilbeault’s decision, but also states the importance of realigning the Canadian economy in face of American tariffs.
