Ottawa Announces New Measures to Support Steel Industry

The federal government rolled out a new support program, aimed at helping Canada’s steel, aluminum and lumber industries. It includes a further reduction in the amount of steel non-trade partners can export to Canada. For Catherine Cobden, President and CEO of the Canadian Steel Producers Association, those measures are a big step forward for the steel industry.
