B.C. Premier David Eby on Mental Health Act update, possible pipeline – November 24, 2025

British Columbia Premier David Eby holds a news conference in Victoria to announce an update to the Mental Health Act. The changes include strengthening protections for health-care workers providing involuntary care and clarifying the purpose of the act.

The premier then takes questions from reporters, discussing the possibility of a bitumen pipeline from Alberta to the north coast of B.C.
