Swedish royal family visit: welcome ceremony at Rideau Hall – November 18, 2025

An official welcome ceremony is held at Rideau Hall in Ottawa for the arrival of Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia. The royals are greeted by Chief Justice of Canada and Deputy Governor General Richard Wagner.

Also attending the ceremony are Sweden’s Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch and Defence Minister Pål Jonson.
