MPs comment on passage of budget motion – November 18, 2025

MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as they convene for the daily question period in the House of Commons.

Conservative MPs Gérard Deltell, John Williamson, Michael Barrett, as well as Liberal MPs Hedy Fry, James Maloney, Judy Sgro, Anthony Housefather and Karina Gould, in addition to NDP MPs Gord Johns and Alexandre Boulerice comment on the passage of the federal budget. The budget motion passed last night in the House of Commons by a vote of 170 to 168, with four abstentions.

Boulerice is also questioned about the Parti Québécois’ Blue Book, which reveals the sovereigntist party’s proposals for an independent Quebec.
