MPs comment ahead of vote on federal budget – November 17, 2025

MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as they convene for the daily question period in the House of Commons.

Green Party Leader Elizabeth May announces that she will be voting in support of the minority Liberal government’s budget.

Ministers François-Philippe Champagne (finance) and Lena Diab (immigration), in addition to Liberal MPs James Maloney, Taleeb Noormohamed, Yvan Baker, Rob Oliphant and Kody Blois, as well as Conservative MPs Ziad Aboultaif, Kevin Waugh and Pierre Paul-Hus face questions on the upcoming budget vote.
