David McGuinty makes a housing announcement in Ottawa – November 12, 2025

David McGuinty, the minister of defence and MP for Ottawa South, announces that the government is accepting applications for the redevelopment of an 18-acre federal property in Ottawa’s Alta Vista neighborhood. McGuinty says the redevelopment will create approximately 1,100 homes.

The minister faces questions from reporters about the government’s planned purchase of F-35 fighter jets.
