Members of the TRU and Kamloops communities are invited to an Inaugural Professorial Lecture by faculty member Dr. Salvador Barragán.

Salvador will discuss how mission-driven organizations operate within communities, striving to achieve meaningful social change while navigating multiple — and sometimes conflicting — missions, values and goals.

Date: Tuesday, Nov. 18

Time: 4:30 – 6 p.m.

Location: OLARA, 2nd floor, Collaborative Student Space (or attend online)

Get to know Salvador

Salvador was promoted to professor in the Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics in 2025. An Inaugural Professorial Lecture (IPL) is given by tenured faculty who have recently been promoted to full professor as a way for universities to publicly celebrate this milestone event in the careers of academics. These lectures provide an opportunity for the public to meet new professors and gain an understanding of their scholarship, research and teaching.

The Inaugural Professorial Lectures are organized by TRU’s Professorial Lecture Committee, with generous support from the Office of the Provost and Vice-President Academic.
