G7 energy ministers’ meeting: Tim Hodgson and Anita Anand make announcements – October 31, 2025

Energy Minister Tim Hodgson and Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand hold a news conference in Toronto as the G7 energy and environment ministers’ meeting continues. In her remarks, Minister Anand announces that Canada is fast-tracking the remaining $10 million of its $70-million commitment to help Ukraine repair its power grid. Minister Hodgson also makes an announcement related to critical minerals.

The speakers are joined by Ukrainian Energy Minister Svitlana Grynchuk. (English interpretation only)
