Canada has to do more trade with China, says foreign policy expert

Prime Minister Mark Carney met Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea today. The sit down represents the first time Canada and China’s top officials have met in years. Currently, Canada and China are caught in a trade dispute over EV’s and agricultural products, but the two sides say their respective teams will try to find a way forward on those. Vina Nadjibulla, a foreign policy expert and vice-president for research and strategy at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, welcomes this development and says Canada has to do more trade with China.
