MPs comment on federal response to Hurricane Melissa, tariffs on Canadian farmers – October 30, 2025

MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as they convene for the daily question period in the House of Commons.

Secretary of State of International Development Randeep Sarai and Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand announce $7 million in humanitarian assistance for relief efforts in the Caribbean region in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa. Minister Anand also takes questions on the federal response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Sudan.

Conservative MP Jeremy Patzer comments on the tariffs imposed by India and China against Canadian pea and canola producers.
