Le docteur Lionel Carmant quitte son poste de ministre – 30 octobre 2025

À Québec, aux côtés du premier ministre François Legault, le ministre responsable des Services sociaux, Lionel Carmant, annonce qu’il quitte ses fonctions à la suite de l’adoption du projet de loi 2, qui redéfinit le mode de rémunération des médecins. Lui-même médecin, le Dr Carmant avait reconnu hier que des membres de sa famille, également médecins, remettaient en question la pertinence de cette réforme. Sa fille avait d’ailleurs publié une lettre dans Le Devoir où elle confiait envisager de pratiquer dans une autre province que le Québec. Le docteur Carmant reste député et siègera comme indépendant.
