Trade war: Should Canada do more business with China?

Prime Minister Mark Carney is scheduled to have a meeting with China’s president Xi Jinping on Friday. Canada and China have been having a bit of rapprochement in recent weeks, as the United States stopped trade negotiations with Canada. Charles Burton, a former Canadian diplomat in the People’s Republic of China and author of a new book called The Beaver and The Dragon, warns that trade with China could have a political cost for Canada.
