Baisse du taux directeur à 2,25%: Quels impacts pour le Canada?

La Banque du Canada a de nouveau réduit son taux directeur de 25 points de base, le faisant passer à 2,25 %, son plus bas niveau depuis 2022. Il s’agit de la deuxième baisse consécutive, la Banque laissant entendre qu’elle pourrait marquer une pause pour le moment. En entrevue avec Marc-André Cossette, Robert Hogue, économiste en chef adjoint à la Banque Royale du Canada, estime qu’il s’agit d’une mesure visant à atténuer le ralentissement de l’économie canadienne, causé en grande partie par la guerre commerciale avec les États-Unis.
