Canada-U.S. trade faced a setback Thursday night when U.S. President Donald Trump announced he was terminating talks due to an Ontario advertisement campaign running in the U.S. The Ford government’s ads feature former President Ronald Reagan giving a 1987 address criticizing tariffs. CPAC host Michael Serapio sits down with bureau chiefs Robert Fife, Tonda MacCharles and Joël-Denis Bellavance to discuss the latest trade development, the responses from provincial and territorial governments and the political and economic pressures the Carney government faces.
