Le président américain Donald Trump a mis fin aujourd’hui aux négociations avec le Canada, en réaction à une publicité diffusée aux États-Unis citant l’ancien président Ronald Reagan pour dénoncer les dangers des tarifs douaniers. Louise Blais, ex-ambassadrice du Canada à l’ONU (2017-2021), se veut rassurante : les pourparlers reprendront, mais pourraient exiger de nouvelles concessions du Canada.
