MPs react to Trump ending trade talks – October 24, 2025

On their way into the daily question period in the House of Commons, MPs comment on U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to terminate all trade negotiations with Canada. Trump announced the decision after an Ontario government television ad opposing tariffs was broadcast to American audiences.

Speaking with reporters are Liberal MPs Rob Oliphant and Greg Fergus, Conservative MP Shannon Stubbs, and NDP MP Gord Johns.
