NDP leadership hopefuls take part in first candidates’ forum – October 22, 2025

In Ottawa, the five candidates officially running for leadership of Canada’s New Democratic Party take part in a leadership forum hosted by the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC). Heather McPherson, Avi Lewis, Rob Ashton, Tanille Johnston, and Tony McQuail take part in the event, which is moderated by CLC President Bea Bruske.

New Democrats will choose their new leader on March 29, 2026.
