Closed plants: What is the future for the EV industry in Canada?

At one time touted as the sustainable way to transform urban delivery, both Ottawa and Ontario invested about a billion dollars to transform the plant that made the Brightdrop. But, like so many attempts to create an EV industrial footprint in this country, it failed. Hadrian Mertins-Kirkwood, senior researcher at the Canadian centre for policy alternatives, claims that there must be a stronger government intervention to foster a Canadian EV industry for the future.
