Senator Peter Harder discusses bill concerning notwithstanding clause – October 20, 2025

Senator Peter Harder speaks with reporters on Parliament Hill about Bill S-218, his proposed legislation to set limits on the use of the notwithstanding clause. He is joined by Stephen Brown, the CEO of the National Council of Canadian Muslims, and residents of Quebec who claim to be affected by the provincial government’s use of the clause.
