Les négociations entre le gouvernement du Québec et les médecins sont dans l’impasse. La médiation a échoué du côté des omnipraticiens, tandis que la Fédération des médecins spécialistes du Québec a suspendu la sienne. Selon Paul Brunet, président du Conseil pour la protection des malades, cette situation pourrait entraîner une baisse du nombre de nouveaux médecins pouvant obtenir un permis de pratique au Québec.
