MPs comment on Gaza ceasefire deal, draft Quebec constitution – October 9, 2025

MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as they convene for the daily question period in the House of Commons.

Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand, Liberal MPs Anthony Housefather, Salma Zahid and Marc Miller, as well as NDP Interim Leader Don Davies comment on the proposed Gaza ceasefire deal and on Canada’s possible role in a post-conflict scenario.

Davies is also asked about the possible revival of the Keystone XL pipeline and Alberta’s proposed new bitumen pipeline to the northwest coast of British Columbia.

Miller and Liberal MP Carlos Leitão comment on the Quebec government’s tabling of a draft provincial constitution.
