Rencontre Trump-Carney: Toujours l’impasse pour l’industrie de l’aluminium

L’industrie de l’aluminium canadien suivait de près la rencontre qui s’est tenue hier entre le premier ministre Mark Carney et le président américain Donald Trump. Or, la réunion n’a pas permis de résoudre la question des tarifs imposés par les États-Unis. Le ministre Dominic LeBlanc est quant à lui resté à Washington pour tenter de débloquer cette impasse. Charlotte Laramée, présidente et directrice générale d’Alu Québec, souligne l’importance du dialogue entre les deux pays, tout en déplorant que l’industrie demeure dans une situation économique difficile.
