MPs comment on recognition of state of Palestine, pharmacare, emissions cap – September 23, 2025

MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill ahead of daily question period in the House of Commons.

Interim NDP Leader Don Davies and NDP MP Alexandre Boulerice comment on the Carney government’s decision to formally recognize the state of Palestine. They also call on the federal government to begin negotiations with all provinces who have yet to sign onto the national pharmacare program.

Liberal MPs Marc Miller, Terry Sheehan and Conservative MP Michael Kram respond to questions on the Canadian Football League’s (CFL) recent rule changes.

Conservative House Leader Andrew Scheer speaks with reporters following question period to comment on the defeat of his party’s opposition day motion, which called for the government to get rid of the oil and gas emissions cap.
