Bank of Canada cuts interest rate to 2.5 per cent – September 17, 2025

In Ottawa, Bank of Canada governor Tiff Macklem discusses the central bank’s decision to lower its key interest rate to 2.5 per cent from 2.75 per cent. He is joined by senior deputy governor Carolyn Rogers.
