Health-care experts speak with reporters in Ottawa about the importance of early detection and expert input for cancers and other diseases. The news conference comes as the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care, a federally appointed panel that issues Canada’s cancer screening guidelines, resumes its work following a months-long pause.

In attendance are Dr. Rodney H. Breau (professor of the division of urology at the University of Ottawa and chair of the Canadian Urological Association’s guidelines committee) and Dr. Catriona Hippman (postdoctoral research fellow with the BC Reproductive Mental Health Program and Simon Fraser University, and adjunct professor with the University of British Columbia’s department of obstetrics and gynaecology).
