PM Mark Carney comments on Canada-U.S. trade talks, Air Canada strike – August 18, 2025

Prime Minister Mark Carney speaks briefly with reporters on Parliament Hill in Ottawa ahead of a meeting with Ontario Premier Doug Ford. Carney is asked about the state of trade negotiations with United States and on the strike by Air Canada flight attendants. He is also asked about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s meeting today at the White House with U.S. President Donald Trump.
