Ottawa annonce une installation destinée à préserver le patrimoine culturel – 14 août 2025

Le ministre de la Transformation du gouvernement, des Travaux publics et de l’Approvisionnement, Joël Lightbound, annonce la construction d’une nouvelle installation nationale des Sciences du patrimoine culturel (SPC) à Gatineau, offrant 18 000 m² de laboratoires, ateliers et bureaux pour préserver des artefacts emblématiques — du chandail de Maurice « Rocket » Richard à des œuvres de Norval Morrisseau et des reliques de l’expédition Franklin. Une fois terminé, ce centre, avec environ 170 spécialistes de Parcs Canada, l’ICC et le RCIP, collaborera étroitement avec les communautés autochtones pour intégrer leurs savoirs, prioriser leurs valeurs et créer des espaces culturellement sûrs. Il est accompagné du député Greg Fergus.
