Governor General Mary Simon delivers remarks at WAVES 2025, the Global Indigenous Languages Summit.

Organized by the Office of the Commissioner of Indigenous Languages, the event brings together language supporters from around the world to celebrate the work of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities. The summit takes place in Ottawa from August 11 to 14.
