In Ottawa, members of a national coalition of aid workers, community leaders, and others hold a news conference to declare Israel’s war in Gaza a genocide and to urge the Canadian government to take action.

In attendance are NDP MP Alexandre Boulerice, Alex Neve (professor of international human rights law), Dorotea Gucciardo (director of development at Glia Equal Care), Ben Thomson (CEO of Keys of Health and co-founder of EyeWitnessGaza), Tabassum Wyne (executive director of the Muslim Advisory Council of Canada), Ahmad al Qadi (National Council of Canadian Muslims), and Sam Hersh (Independent Jewish Voices). Tarek Loubani, an emergency physician on a medical mission in Gaza, takes part remotely.
