Ontario Premier Doug Ford comments after meeting with First Nation chiefs – June 19, 2025

Ontario Premier Doug Ford speaks with reporters at Queen’s Park following his meeting with First Nations leaders. The meeting comes as tensions continue to rise over the Ford government’s Bill 5, which gives cabinet the power to suspend provincial and municipal laws for certain projects deemed to have economic importance.

Also speaking is Linda Debassige, grand council chief of the Anishinabek Nation.
