MP comment on plan to meet NATO defence spending target, G7 Summit – June 9, 2025

MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as they convene for the daily question period in the House of Commons. Ministers François-Philippe Champagne as well as Liberal MPs Bill Blair, Ryan Turnbull, and NDP MP Alexandre Boulerice react to the government’s announcement that it will be meet its NATO defence spending target of 2 per cent of GDP this fiscal year.

Boulerice and Liberal MP Rob Oliphant comment on upcoming G7 Leaders’ Summit, which is taking place in Kananaskis, Alberta, from June 15 to 17, 2025.
