Le premier ministre Mark Carney a annoncé lundi son engagement à ce que le Canada atteigne l’objectif de dépenses de 2 % du PIB fixé par l’OTAN dès cette année fiscale, et non pas d’ici 2030. Les dépenses liées à la défense devraient augmenter de plus de 9 milliards de dollars cette année, pour atteindre près de 63 milliards. Notre animatrice Catherine Lafrance discute des raisons qui ont motivé cette annonce avec les journalistes Catherine Lévesque (National Post), Joël-Denis Bellavance (La Presse) et Boris Proulx (Le Devoir).
