Humanitarian groups raise concerns about U.S.-backed aid system in Gaza – May 29, 2025

At a news conference in Ottawa, a group of humanitarian organizations raise concerns about a newly imposed aid mechanism in Gaza that is coordinated by Israel and the United States.

Speaking with reporters are Iftikhar Shaikh Ahmad (chief program officer, Human Concern International), Erin Kiley (director of international programs, Oxfam Canada), Roula Kikhia (humanitarian advisor, Save the Children), and Rachael Cummings (humanitarian director, Save the Children, Gaza).
