Dépenses militaires : le Canada doit « se réveiller, » dit un général français — 29 mai 2025

Le ministre de la Défense, David McGuinty, a déclaré mercredi que le Canada doit augmenter ses dépenses militaires tout en se tournant vers d’autres partenaires afin d’améliorer sa capacité à se défendre. Il a ainsi annoncé que son gouvernement entend participer au programme « ReArm », visant à accroître la défense de l’Europe face à la menace russe. Est-ce la porte d’entrée d’Ottawa pour atteindre la cible de l’OTAN, soit de consacrer 2 % de son PIB à ses dépenses militaires ?
