Bank of Canada governor speaks about risks to financial system – May 8, 2025

Bank of Canada governor Tiff Macklem holds a news conference in Ottawa following the release of the central bank’s 2025 Financial Stability Report, which assesses the health of Canada’s financial system and highlights risks that could threaten its stability.

Macklem is joined by senior deputy governor Carolyn Rogers.
