Conservative caucus: Andrew Scheer will be interim parliamentary leader – May 6, 2025

Speaking with reporters on Parliament Hill following a meeting of the Conservative caucus, Andrew Scheer confirms that he will serve as the party’s interim parliamentary leader. The Conservative leader, Pierre Poilievre, lost his seat in the House of Commons in the April 28 general election. Responding to questions from reporters, Scheer also comments on Canada–U.S. relations.
