Vendredi, le premier ministre Carney a présenté les objectifs de son gouvernement lors de sa première conférence de presse postélectorale. Il a également annoncé la venue du roi Charles III qui prononcera pour l’occasion le discours du Trône. Notre animatrice Catherine Lafrance en discute avec les politologues Geneviève Tellier et Frédéric Boily.

L’arrestation au Wisconsin de la juge Hannah Dugan par le FBI en pleine salle de court a choqué l’opinion publique. Le directeur de la police fédérale américaine, Kash Patel, a justifié cette action pour punir une « entrave » à l’arrestation d’un migrant. Est-ce que la magistrature américaine est dorénavant à la merci du pouvoir de Donald Trump aux États-Unis? Nous nous entretenons à ce sujet avec Eric Lisann, ancien procureur fédéral américain.
