Ceremony to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands – May 2, 2025

A commemorative ceremony is held at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery in Groesbeek, Netherlands, as part of a series of events marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands and the end of the Second World War in Europe. More than 2,300 Canadian soldiers are buried at Groesbeek, many of whom died in the Battle of the Rhineland in February and March 1945.
