N.S. Premier Tim Houston comments on federal election – April 30, 2025

Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston holds a news conference in Halifax, where he comments on the recent federal election, which saw the Liberals under Prime Minister Mark Carney re-elected with a minority mandate.

Houston asserts that he is ready to work alongside Prime Minister Carney as the country grapples with the protectionist policies of the Trump administration in the United States. He is also asked about his relationship with the Conservative Party of Canada and whether he harbours federal leadership aspirations of his own.
