Poilievre Unveils His Plan for Change

Plan brings down costs of food and housing, tackles crime and cuts the Liberal deficit by 70%.

Woodbridge, ON – Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre released his Conservative Plan for Change today to lower food and housing costs, stop crime and bring home jobs to put Canada First.

The choice could not be clearer – a fourth Liberal term with Mark Carney that will add even more debt than Justin Trudeau’s budget, or a new Conservative government that over the next four years will save Canada $125 billion compared to Mark Carney.

The Conservative Plan for Change:

  1. Cuts the Liberal deficit by 70% with less spending on bureaucracy, consultants, foreign aid and handouts to insiders and special interests, while boosting growth with resource jobs – for a change.
  2. Lowers income tax 15% saving the average worker $900 and average working family $1,800 – for a change.
  3. Builds 2.3 million homes by axing taxes to save $100,000 a home, selling off federal land and getting gatekeepers out of the way to speed up building – for a change.
  4. Locks up criminals to make you safe – for a change.
  5. Puts Canada First – For a Change.

After the Lost Liberal Decade, costs and crime have skyrocketed. Families are paying $10,000 more in tax than they did before the Liberals were first elected. Groceries cost $800 more than they did last year and will go up another $400 a year under Mark Carney’s planned food tax. Violent crime has increased by 50%, and our once-safe towns and cities are suffering from chaos and disorder.

For three Liberal terms, Canada has had the worst growth in GDP per capita out of any country in the G7. Canadians can’t afford a fourth Liberal term under Mark Carney, who is doubling down on the Trudeau record and promising $130 billion in new inflationary spending. This disastrous Liberal platform “was ready before Mark Carney even became Liberal leader” and will drive up taxes, food and housing costs even higher.

“Canada needs real change,” said Poilievre. “It’s time for a new Conservative Government that will axe taxes, build homes, unlock our resources, unleash our economy, stop crime and bring home powerful paycheques to put Canada First.”

Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative Party are the only ones with a plan for real change in this election. A plan to reverse the disastrous Liberal record, cut the cost of food and housing, let you keep more of what you earn and kill inflation so your dollar goes further. A plan to build homes, unleash the economy, stop crime, bring immigration back under control, and put Canada FirstFor a Change
