CPAC’s Laura Di Battista reports on two Vancouver Island that could change hands on election day.

In Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke, the incumbent Randall Garrison of the NDP has retired and as a result, the three-time mayor of Sooke, Maja Tait is now the NDP candidate. Running for the Liberals is former Alberta NDP cabinet minister in the Rachel Notley government, Stephanie McLean and for the Conservatives, Grant Cool, an aerospace engineer. Ben Homer-Dixon, a 20 year-old geography student at the University of Victoria is the Green Party’s representative.

In neighbouring Saanich-Gulf Islands, the co-leader of the Green Party leader, Elizabeth May is facing opposition from Conservative Cathie Ounsted and Liberal David Beckham. Ms May has been the MP here since 2011. Running for the NDP is Saanich Council member, Colin Plant.
