Ottawa suspend l’application de certaines surtaxes pour six mois — 15 avril 2025

Le ministre des Finances, François-Philippe Champagne, a annoncé ce mardi une aide fédérale destinée aux entreprises canadiennes touchées par les droits de douane imposés par l’administration Trump. Cette aide se décline sous forme d’allègement tarifaire de six mois sur les marchandises importées des États-Unis qui servent à la fabrication, à la transformation des aliments. Elle est aussi offerte pour les produits qui servent à la santé publique, la sécurité publique et la sécurité nationale. Ottawa a de plus annoncé des exemptions conditionnelles pour certains véhicules assemblés aux États-Unis.
