Yves-François Blanchet veut redéfinir la portée de l’arrêt Jordan – 14 avril 2025

Dans la Capitale-Nationale, le chef bloquiste Yves-François Blanchet dévoile les engagements du Bloc Québécois en matière de justice. Au retour en Chambre, le chef du Bloc entend déposer un projet de loi qui modifierait le Code criminel afin de redéfinir la portée de l’arrêt Jordan. Selon YF Blanchet, celui-ci ne pourrait plus être invoqué dans les cas de crimes graves. Dans son allocution, Blanchet compte aussi présenter un nouveau projet de loi qui imposerait des peines minimales lors de crimes commis avec des armes à feu. En réponse aux questions des journalistes, le chef du Bloc commente la déclaration du chef conservateur Pierre Poilievre qui promet d’invoquer la clause dérogatoire pour revoir la loi afin d’imposer des peines consécutives aux criminels coupables de crimes graves.
