Canada’s New Democrats wish you Eid Mubarak! « Canada’s NDP

Canada’s NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh issued the following statement:

“New Democrats wish Muslims across Canada and around the world a Eid Mubarak filled with justice, peace, and blessings.

Muslim communities here is Canada are steadfast in their strong commitment to helping those in need both here in our country and across the world.

For the last couple of years, Ramadan has been difficult for many people. Humanitarian crises continue to unfold in Gaza and Sudan. New Democrats continue to implore members of all parties to call for an end to the violence and to ensure humanitarian aid reaches those in need.

New Democrats will always stand with you as you call for peace, justice and respect for all.

As Muslims gather with their families and friends to mark the end of Ramadan, New Democrats send you our warmest wishes.

Eid Mubarak!”
