Liberal Leader Mark Carney makes an announcement and takes questions from reporters in Montreal.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Carney spoke with Donald Trump–his first phone call with the U.S. president since winning the Liberal leadership–then hosted a virtual meeting with Canada’s premiers. President Trump signed an executive order this week placing 25 per cent tariffs on automobile imports.
