Storm Season Over With 3-2 Loss In Game 6
The Kamloops Storm had their 2024/2025 season come to an end with a 3-2 loss to the 100 Mile House Wranglers in game six of the Birks Division final. The Wranglers win the series four games to two and will move on to play the Revelstoke Grizzlies in round three. Kamloops opened the scoring as Braycen Dube tallied on the power play but then the turning point came as the Storm looked to take a 2-0 lead on another power play but instead 100 Mile scored shorthanded to tie the game at 1-1 after two periods. In the third the Wranglers took a 2-1 lead on a deflection off of a Storm defenceman. With the goalie pulled and Kamloops pressing 100 Mile got an empty net goal with just over one minute left to take a 3-1 lead however just 15 seconds later Dube slammed home his second of the game to close the gap once again. Kamloops could not get any closer and the Wranglers will move on. Brenner Fyfe was outstanding between the pipes stopping 32 of 34 shots he faced while the Storm had 33 shots of their own. Kamloops was 1 for 3 on the power play and a perfect 3 for 3 on the penalty kill. Congratulations to the entire Kamloops Storm organization on a great 2024/2025 season.
