Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame and Athletic Award Banquet » Kamloops Sports Council
The Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame and Kamloops Sports Council invite you to join in the 35th annual ceremony taking place on April 5th, 2025 at the Colombo Lodge.
This year, the Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame will be inducting a total of three individuals and one team, while the Kamloops Sports Council will be presenting eight Athletic Awards.
The Hall of Fame Inductees include:
- Greg Hawgood – Hockey
- Catharine Pendrel – Cyclist
- Gary Oakden – Boxing Coach
- 1980-1984 Kamloops Furtown – Soccer
The KSC Athletic Award nominees include:
Female Athlete of the Year
- Mischa Grover – Canoe Kayak
- Lienke Raath – Track and Field
- Maddy Gobeil – Basketball
Male Athlete of the Year
- Logan Stankoven – Hockey
- Greg Stewart – Para Shotput
- Ethan Katzberg – Hammer Throw
Coach of the Year
- Stan Marek – Canoe Kayak
- Dylan Armstrong – Athletics
- Liam Rihela – Baseball
Team of the Year
- Team Canada ICF Junior Dragonboat Team – Dragonboat
- Riverdogs U18 College Prep Team – Baseball

Starting off with a cocktail hour at 5:00 pm, dinner will be served at 6:00 pm, followed by the Annual Athletic Awards and the induction of the Hall of Fame.
Attendees are encouraged to attend all portions of the evening and celebrate the magnificent athletes from the community!

The Silent Auction and KidSport Kamloops 50/50
In addition to the Hall of Fame inductions and Athletic Awards, there will also be a silent auction for attendees to bid on throughout the event! Items in this auction have been donated by various companies and organizations in and around Kamloops. This event will also be the kickoff of the two month long 50/50 fundraiser for KidSport Kamloops!
