Just The Facts: Mark Carney’s Conflicts of Interest

Ottawa, ON – Today, Mark Carney was incredibly defensive and snippy in the face of questions from reporters relating to his many conflicts of interest.

Mark Carney cannot hide behind his “placebo” blind trust. The types of assets he was entitled to through Brookfield Asset Management are very illiquid and cannot be easily offloaded or sold.

Mark Carney knows exactly what assets were put in his blind trust just a few days ago.

During his press conference, Mark Carney asked, “What possible conflict could you have?”

Here are just some of the things Mark Carney could be conflicted on:

The Canadian people deserve to know exactly what Mark Carney is conflicted on and he needs to immediately disclose what assets he placed into a blind trust.

Mark Carney needs to disclose now the “full and robust Conflict of Interest Management Plan” which was presented to the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner.
