Ontario Premier Doug Ford discusses his government’s plan to impose a surcharge on electricity exports to three U.S. states. Ford announced the plan last week, saying a 25 per cent surcharge will take effect today for Michigan, Minnesota and New York in response to U.S.-imposed tariffs on Canadian goods.

Also taking part in the news conference at Queen’s Park is Stephen Lecce, Ontario’s minister of energy and electrification.
